Rita Occhiuto

Rita Occhiuto is an Italian architect and landscape designer. Graduate in Architecture at La Sapienza University in Rome, she received her Ph.D. in Regional Development and Town Planning from the Faculty of Applied Science of the University of Liège (Belgium). Occhiuto has been teaching theoretical and practical courses at the Faculty of Architecture in Liège, where she also directs the Laboratory LabVTP "Ville-Territoire-Paysage". She is founder member of the European Network of Universities for the implementation of the European Landscape Convention. She has been conducting research by design on several topics, such as industrial and rural regeneration, public space design and design with nature. Her work has been presented at several international conferences and has been broadly published.
