Metro Arquitetos is an architectural practice based in São Paulo (Brazil). Founded by Gustavo Cedroni, Martin Corullon and Marina Ioshii in 2000, the office is active across a range of scales, from temporary exhibitions and installations to master planning and urban interventions. The office operates at a high level of technical rigor and research, seeking to promote connections between the work and its context, and to support the collective use of both public and private spaces. The three partners have a strong experience in projects across institutional, commercial and cultural sectors and experience at the international offices of Foster + Partners in London and OMA in New York.
Recently, the office has worked on several cultural projects, such as the new gallery for Casa Triangulo and the renewal of the Lina Bo Bardi's MASP building, both in São Paulo; the office has also been charged of public projects, such as the one of Refettorio Gastromotiva in Rio de Janeiro, and Ladeira da Barroquinha in Salvador de Bahia.
The office has been part of the curatorial group for the Brazilian Pavilion at the 10th Biennale in Venice (2006) and author of the 30th Bienal de São Paulo's in 2012.
