MantovArchitettura is a yearly event organised by Politecnico di Milano - Polo di Mantova, in the framework of the UNESCO Chair in "Architectural Preservation and Planning in World Heritage Cities", during which exhibitions, lectures, seminars and conferences take place in the venue of the most beautiful monuments of Mantova. Since 2014, every year in May, the entire city of Mantova becomes capital of architecture for 4 weeks. With the participation of guests from all over the world and students of the School, architecture and its role in the past, present and future are the main protagonists. MantovArchitettura aims at fostering an open debate among architects, students and the community about architecture, urbanism and construction engineering, in an international perspective based on the value of history intended as the ground upon which testing design strategies.
Admission to the events is free on a first come first served basis except for some events (i.e. lectures at Museo di Castelvecchio).
