Ipostudio is a working group founded in Florence in 1984 by Lucia Celle, Roberto Di Giulio, Carlo Terpolilli and Elisabetta Zanasi Gabrielli. It has developed several designs, ranging from civil architecture, to social, health and school facilities, as well as to special and social housing sectors.
Since 1991, Ipostudio has been partner in EC research projects in the fields of technological innovation and building design.
It has won several national and international design competitions, and it has been awarded with special mentions, including Medaglia d'oro dell'Architettura Italiana in 2003 and Compasso d'oro ADI in 2001. Its work has been widely published in Italy and abroad, as well as displayed at exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale and the Triennale of Milan.
Ipostudio's works include: Nursing Home for the Elderly in Poggibonsi (Firenze, 2006-2008) and Montemurlo (Prato, 2008-2011); Mazzolani Vandini Hospital in Ferrara (2005-2011); new entrance of Careggi Hospital (Firenze, 2006-2011); Student Housing Villa Val di Rose (Florence, 2008-2013); Nuovo Museo degli Innocenti (Florence, 2012-2016); Firenze University Campus (ongoing construction).
