Marcio e Gabriel Kogan

Marcio Kogan is a Brazilian architect, founder of Studio MK27 based in São Paulo. Graduated from Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FAU) at the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in 1976, today is honorary member of the American Institute of Architects. He is Visiting Professor at Politecnico di Milano and FAU. Gabriel Kogan is architect and journalist. Graduate from FAU, he has been working at StudioMK27 since 2007.

Combining traditional building techniques with contemporary design, Studio MK27 is today recognised as one of the most innovative offices in contemporary Brazilian architecture.

The office's most recent projects include: several private houses, such as Casa Pasqua in Porto Feliz (Brazil, 2016) and Casa Catuçaba in Catuçaba (Brazil, 2016); housing complexes, such as Caledonian Somosaguas in Madrid (2017). The office signed also the Brazilian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2012. Their works has been awarded several prizes, such as the Record House Award (in 2004 and 2005) and the Leaf Award in 2011.
