Camillo Botticini graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 1990, where, in 2003, he obtained also a Ph.D. in Architectural and Urban Design. At present, he is Professor of Urban and Architectural Design at Politecnico di Milano.
In 1993, he founded his own firm in Brescia (Camillo Botticini Architetto). Between 2008 and 2014, he started the firm ABDA with Giulia De Appolonia. His professional work is strictly linked to the academic and scientific researches he carries out, both at Politecnico di Milano and in his office in Brescia. Camillo Botticini has received several awards, mostly for his public works, that demonstrate his ability to achieve a synthesis between pragmatism and research design phases. His works include: School and Canteen in Roncadelle (Brescia, 2005-2006); the extension of Induno Olona Cemetery (Varese, 2012); a swimming pool in Mompiano (Brescia, 2010-2013); Alps Villa in Lumezzane (Brescia, 2012-2014).
