How to insert important dates in the course

Do you want to highlight an event or an important teaching deadline?

 

Go to the Important dates section in your course, click on the date on which you want to add an event and insert the most important information. You can also click on Add event in the top-left and see all of the available options (for example, making an event cyclical). You can modify any of the information relating to any event at any time by clicking on it and selecting Edit.

Do you have an urgent communication for your students?

Do you also want them to receive it by email?

Access your course and publish a notice.

On your course homepage, in the section Notifications you will be able to view all of the notifications that you have published. To create new ones or modify existing ones click on Create/manage and access the management section.

 

The notices that you decide to publish will be visible on the course homepage and in the students' personal pages and will be sent automatically via email to all students enrolled on the course that have accessed BeeP at least one time.

 

Click on Add new and edit the Title and Description. You can then set an expiry date after which it will no longer be possible to view the notice.

To finish click on Publish.

 

Tips&Tricks: you can also publish notifications from your personal pages without having to enter the course. Once you have entered the management section (Create/manage) choose the people to whom you want to send the notice or the course in which you want the notice to be published.

How to manage course enrolment requests

Students, external guests or collaborators not officially enrolled in a course can send a lecturer an enrolment request that will arrive to him or her by email.

To accept or refuse enrolment requests all you need do is enter your course and click on Manage-Enrolment in the bar in the top-right of the page.

 

In the Manage Enrolment on the course panel click on See enrolment requests and you will be able to see all pending, approved and rejected requests.

 

Next to the specific request, click on Actions – Reply and decide whether to accept or refuse.

How to insert additional information on the course

Do you want to present a summary of your course to students or add information that is not present in the official programme?

 

You can do this in the Information on course and lecturers section relating to your course.

Click on the pencil in the box related to Additional information and edit your text.

Save to complete the operation; you will be able to modify this information at any time.
